Evidence-backed methods to help you reach your goals and live to your full potential
About Hugh
I’m an accredited sport and exercise scientist with a passion for optimising performance and promoting effective recovery. I've spent my career working with elite athletes, firefighters, and military personnel to help them minimise injury risk and maximise their ability to perform. From the training track to the fire ground, I pride myself on delivering performance solutions no matter the setting, context, or industry.
Currently, I hold the position of Professor at Reykjavik University in Iceland, where I am the Director of the Masters of Sport Science program and lead research on sleep, recovery, injury, and training methods. My research is about identifying optimal recovery behaviours so we can enhance performance, with a special focus on the pivotal role of sleep.
I believe that the role of science is to help us live fuller, richer, and happier lives. I am passionate about supporting people to optimise their well-being and perform to their full potential and regularly collaborate with organisations and schools on bespoke well-being presentations, workshops, and initiatives. If you’d like to learn more about how we can work together, please get in touch.
